Because machines can malfunction and the serial number cannot be obtained from the machine itself, it is critical to maintain track of where it is and who is using it. How can I determine the serial number of my machine?

If your CAD Administrator or IT department isn't already keeping track of which serial numbers are installed in which machines, a user can use any of the following methods to determine which serial number is in a certain machine.

Launch SOLIDWORKS.
Navigate to Help > SOLIDWORKS About.

Click the Show Serial Number option to display the SOLIDWORKS serial number that is presently installed on this machine.
