"Properties.txt File Missing Error

 

QA:- The file "properties.txt" cannot be found by SOLIDWORKS. 

Why this error Occur :-

Have you ever attempted to configure a feature and received the following error message...'The properties.txt file cannot be found'? This properties problem most commonly occurs when upgrading SOLIDWORKS to a new version  

Sol:- 

        This error is simple to fix. First, ensure that SOLIDWORKS is referring to the correct file location. C:ProgramDataSOLIDWORKSSOLIDWORKS20XXlangenglish is the default location. This is accessible via Tools > Options > System Options > File Locations. Select "Custom Property Files" from the drop-down option. Ensure that you have the correct major release. If the file path is incorrect, remove the existing path and replace it with the proper path.
