To remedy this issue, take the following steps:# Launch the Registry Editor application.
# Click 'Start', then type "Regedit" and hit Enter.
# Navigate to the 'HKEY_Local_MACHINESOFTWARESolidWorksLicensesSerial Numbers' key.
# Right-click the 'Serial Numbers' key and select 'Permissions'.
# Click 'Add' in the 'Permissions for Serial Numbers' dialog box.
# Enter "Everyone" under 'Enter the object names to choose' > click 'Check Names' > 'OK'.
# Select the 'Allow' options for 'Full Control and 'Read' under 'Permission for Everyone' > 'Apply' > 'OK'.
# Navigate to the 'HKEY_Local_ MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeSolidWorksLicensesSerial Numbers' key.
# Steps 3 through 6 should be reported for this registry key.
